Christmas at Cumberland

Christmas has been wonderful at Cumberland. Our Christmas Shopping Day was a great success, it was lovely to see all our Cumberland children choosing gifts for their family and then having the opportunity to wrap them themselves! We got to have Christmas lunch at school, create Christmas decorations to go up in the school hall and wear party clothes on the last day!

Father Christmas visited us again this year on his Motorbike! It was so much fun, we sang him songs and he gave us sacks full of presents!

Dan and Kelly came to visit us from St Margaret's Church, they told us all about the Christmas Story and Year R, 1 and 2 all got to sing a song from their Christmas Nativity Performance!

Christmas at Cumberland 2024

Santa came to visit Cumberland on a Motorbike!

What a treat! He even had sacks full of presents!

Visiting St Margaret's Church

The whole of Cumberland walked to St Margaret's Church to visit Fran. We talked about what Christmas is all about, joined in with some role play about the story of baby Jesus and sang lots of songs. Each Year Group got to sing a song from their Christmas Nativity Performance.

Getting our Cumberland Christmas Tree!

Mr Culver kindly drove Miss Abraham, Mrs Herbert and ten children to the greengrocers in Milton to select and buy a Christmas Tree for our school hall.

They knew straight away that they wanted the tallest one and what a beauty they picked.

In the afternoon they helped decorate the tree too!

A huge shout out to Ella in Year One, whose Daddy's work funded the tree.

Christmas Shopping Day!

This year Christmas Shopping Day was one of the best and that was linked with the army of parents who assisted on the day with setting up , talking and helping the children decide what to buy for their family and helping them wrap the presents with all the staff.
