Cumberland Infant School

Nicky Dodd

I am originally from Gosport and moved to Southsea in 2004 for University. I returned to the city in 2010.

My daughter is a current pupil at Cumberland Infant School. We chose the school as we considered it to be small and nurturing enough for her not to get ‘lost’, but also big enough to teach her resilience and independence.

As a parent governor I hope to engage with other parents and feed back to the governing body and the school any views or issues which will help the school to progress. I also hope to allow parents to gain a greater understanding of what a governor’s role is.

I am a part-time Parish Administrator for a church in Portsmouth, and I am also studying accountancy via an adult education course.
