I was born in Glasgow and moved to Portsmouth in 1999. My oldest daughter started at Cumberland in 2012 and has thrived in this gem of a school. The staff are engaging and have created a community atmosphere. Personally, I like the way the school promotes a partnership between the school, its pupils and parents. I am currently on the Standards and Community Committee and my aim is to help the school continue to grow and develop, building on the back of a good Ofsted review. I come from a scientific background, with a degree in Maths and Physics and work in a scientific and technology organisation so I have volunteered to be the schools Numeracy Champion. Away from work, I have two passions. I love spending time with my wife and two girls and also supporting my favourite football team from Glasgow.
