Lunchtime 12.00pm to 1pm
All infant school children are entitled to a free hot dinner at lunchtime. Our meal providers are the ISS group. Please note that the food is not prepared on the premises.
There is a three week rolling menu and the menus are changed twice a year in April and October. The new menu is sent home just before it is introduced so that you and your child can select their options. At lunchtime your child is then given the coloured band for their option so that the Servery team knows which meal to give them. They then choose their desert, with fruit always being one of the options. Salad and bread are also available to go with the meal.
Our children have the option each day of either having a hot dinner provided by the School or bringing a packed lunch from home.
If your child is having a packed lunch we ask that no fizzy drinks are included and that you send it in in a clearly named lunchbox.
The Year R children are always served first, with a rota system in place for Years 1 and 2. The children sit together, regardless of whether they have a hot or packed lunch. In the summer in good weather, the Year 1 and 2 children can eat their packed lunch outside.
We have six Lunchtime Supervisors who ensure the safety of the children and that lunchtimes run smoothly. Children have the choice of a range of activities during this time, for example, football, skipping, reading and drawing.
