Caron Berry
Originally from London my husband and I moved to Portsmouth 8 years ago. In 2012 our family was made complete by the birth of our twins who now attend Cumberland infant school.
I have a background in the performing arts; training at Arts Educational schools, London, and have fond memories of my performing days. I now run a local events company with my sister (Red Events Worldwide), organising events for a variety of amazing clients.
I have a keen interest in Special Educational Needs due to my daughter having learning difficulties. After years of experience dealing with many specialists within this sector I wanted to 'give something back' to the system so I now sit on the Inclusion Support panel as a parent volunteer. I also have a keen interest in the Emotional Well-being of Children and have recently trained as a Relax kids coach.
From the first moment my husband and I visited Cumberland Infant school and met Mrs Naylor we knew that Cumberland Infant School was the right school for our children. I wanted to become more involved in school life and decided to become a Governor, as I felt I had knowledge and skills that would help the school to move forward.
